TEACHING & DIRECTING
Aaron is an adjunct faculty member at The Second City Training Center in Chicago, where he teaches classes in musical theatre improvisation. He loves sharing with his students the joy, challenges and empowerment of combining improv comedy and musical theatre. There's nothing else like it in the world, he contends.
In 2011, he directed Christmas in Chicago, a comedic, musical year-in-review, for The Fine Print Theatre Company. Created and scripted during its eight-week rehearsal process, this critically-acclaimed show-within-a-show played to sold-out houses at Chicago Dramatists. He returned to direct the 2012 production of Christmas in Chicago which featured new songs and an entirely new script.
His additional directing credits include various scripted and improvised productions, such as Listen Kid, States: The Musical!, The Timeless Tale of New Portsmouth, Hollow Hills High School, and The Temp Is Going Up: An Inconvenient Tune. Aaron was recently selected to coach one of The Second City Training Center's Coached Ensembles, an improvised sci-fi soap opera called Earth Planet Space.
Aaron is also an aspiring graphic designer, illustrator, and artist. Always a work in progress, his graphic arts portfolio can be seen at AaronGrahamDesign.com.
